Most clients decide before they ever read your bio.
TherapyBuilt designs therapy websites around how hesitant clients actually make decisions — the language they need, the questions they’re afraid to ask, and the moment they finally feel safe enough to reach out.
“Phenomenal job” — Michelle Chavez, LCSW
Therapy websites aren’t like other websites.
Clients seeking therapy are often ambivalent, ashamed, or unsure if they even deserve help. A website that ignores that reality — no matter how well-designed — loses them before they ever reach out.
- ✕Contact forms that ask for more than a hesitant client is ready to share
- ✕Copy that sounds like a wellness brand, not a clinical practice
- ✕Clinician bios written like LinkedIn profiles
- ✕No thought given to fees, insurance, or the Good Faith Estimate
- ✕A bloated page builder that slows your site and breaks on updates
- ✓Intake flow designed around client readiness — not convenience
- ✓Copy reviewed through a clinical lens — warm, grounded, honest
- ✓A site structure built around the trust-first nature of therapy
- ✓Every section your practice needs — already thought through for you
- ✓You own it outright. No platform lock-in, no forced monthly fees.
Every section your practice needs. Already built in.
You won’t have to explain what a Good Faith Estimate is. Or ask me to add a cancellation policy section. Or wonder why your fee page sounds like a hotel checkout. TherapyBuilt comes with every section a therapy site needs — because I already know what those are.
Simple. Clear. No surprises.
You didn’t start a private practice to spend weekends figuring out your website.

Your practice changes.
Your site should too.
A therapy website that never gets updated starts working against you within months. New clinicians join. Insurance panels change. You add a specialty. The TherapyBuilt Care Plan keeps your site current — and keeps us working together.
One flat monthly fee. No surprise invoices. Cancel anytime.
- Hosting, security & backups
- WordPress & plugin updates
- Clinician additions or removals
- Insurance & fee updates
- Specialty & service page edits
- Announcements & seasonal updates
- Quarterly 30-minute check-in call
Staff changes happen constantly in group practices. Your site should reflect your team as it actually is — not who was on it six months ago.
Outdated insurance information erodes trust before a client ever calls. Keeping that section accurate is one of the highest-impact things your site can do.
A new specialty page targeting the right search terms can bring in a consistent stream of the exact clients you want to see more of.
Once every three months we talk for 30 minutes — what’s working, what’s changed, what the site should be doing next. Most clients say this is worth the monthly fee by itself.
Things therapists usually ask me.
If something isn’t covered here, just reach out. There are no dumb questions.
Do I need to know anything about websites or tech?
Not at all. That’s my job. You focus on telling me about your practice — your clients, your approach, what matters to you — and I handle everything else. After launch, I walk you through exactly how to make simple updates on your own, in plain language.
Will I be locked into a platform or monthly fees?
No. You own your site outright — the code, the content, everything. It runs on WordPress on your own hosting (typically around $10–15/month). I offer optional maintenance packages, but they’re never required. You can take your site anywhere.
How long does the process take?
Most projects are complete within 3–4 weeks from the kickoff call. The timeline depends on how quickly content and feedback comes back, but I’m not going to disappear on you — you’ll hear from me regularly throughout.
What do I need to provide?
A headshot (or we can talk about options if you don’t have one), the basics about your practice — what you do, who you see, your fees — and your honest reactions to drafts. I do the writing and design. You just make sure it sounds like you.
How is this different from Squarespace or Wix?
Templates are built for everyone, which means they’re built for no one in particular. TherapyBuilt is built specifically for therapy practices — the sections, the copy, the intake flow, the clinical language. A general template won’t include a Good Faith Estimate section or know why your contact form needs to feel different from a retail checkout.
What if I already have a site and just want it improved?
That’s worth a conversation. Depending on what you have, it may make more sense to redesign than to patch. Send me a link and I’ll give you an honest read on it — no sales pitch.
Built by someone in the room.
TherapyBuilt exists because I kept noticing something while training as an MSW candidate: therapy practice websites almost never reflect what it actually feels like to be a hesitant client trying to decide whether to reach out.
I’m currently in clinical training at NMHU and based in Albuquerque, New Mexico — and I also build websites. That combination is rarer than it sounds. It means I think about the ethics of language, the weight a word like “trauma” carries, and why a contact form that asks too much can feel like a violation of trust before the relationship even begins.
You won’t spend our call explaining your world to me. I already know it.

No pitch, no pressure. Just a conversation about what you need and whether TherapyBuilt is the right fit for where your practice is right now.
